What to expect

Start with the breath-taking view at the Prophet Elias Monastery and visit the picturesque monastery. Then follows Megalochori village, an extremely charming traditional settlement, almost abandoned after the big earthquake and Akrotiri excavations, one of the most significant archaeological sites, that includes a vast structure, once habited by 200 families and preserved buried under the volcano’s lava.

Then you will have free time at the Red Beach for swimming or simply enjoy the colorful formations of the mountain and/or visit Akrotiri Bay for coffee or lunch with Greek traditional mezedes and ouzo (not included). Perivolos, with its black sandy beach comes next. There you will have enough time to enjoy swimming, explore the area and taste fresh cooked fishes at the local taverns. Last stop, one of the most popular wineries of Santorini, for a wine tasting experience.

Know before you go

Guest must be 10 minutes early at meeting point.
Guests must be able to walk over cobblestones and uneven surfaces, inclines and steps.
Children ages 4 and under are free of charge; however, infants 0-1 years can also travel free if they sit on an adult’s knee.

How to prepare properly for the tour?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sensible, flat-soled, closed walking shoes. Sunscreen, sunglasses are also recommended. Please take a light jacket for the sunset.
Akrotiri excavation site entrance fee is not included (12 EUR) and can be paid directly at the site on the day of the tour, in cash.
This tour is not wheelchair accessible because of the varied terrain at the sites you will be visiting.
