Trek through the Volcano of Methana Peninsula and dip into thermal baths! A unique full day private experience, 3 hour drive from Athens.
Today you will discover one of Greece’s volcanoes, part of the South Aegean Volcanic Arc together with the volcanoes of Santorini, Milos and Nisiros islands. Last eruption occurred at 1700 AC. Methana Peninsula is located in Northeast Peloponnese known for its thermal baths and the volcano close to the village Kameni Chora (Burnt Village). Our 3 hour trek starts from Palaia Loutra village and ends inside the crater of the non-active volcano. En route we will pass through dense forest with majestic view of Argosaronic Gulf inclusive of Agkistri & Aegina islands. Arriving to the crater we will walk on the frozen lava and the volcanic rocks before heading to the natural thermal baths, where we will have time to relax and rejuvenate our body and soul after our trekking experience.
